In 1985, the United States Government swapped out the Statue of Liberty’s torch. Also in 1985, apparently, Bob Layton wrote an amusing Spider-Man story about how he prevented the torch from being stolen during the repairs.
Perfectly serviceable comic with no importance to the greater Marvel universe, and published two years after it was written.
