KA-ZAR THE SAVAGE #5-12 (1981-1982): 1st Belasco

Ka-Zar starts to want to go to civilization, and has an adventure involving Pangea–a city created by Atlanteans in the Savage Land that has has tech.  So, gradually, the series is bringing him into a more modern setting.

In issue #11, future X-Men villain Belasco is introduced as a sorcerer seeking to bring supernatural threats to Earth.

Obviously, he’ll matter more when he’s tied to Magik. Because everything involving mutants is “important” at Marvel.

Still nothing objectively wrong with these issues, and for Ka-Zar stories they’re above average, I’m just not a fan of the character or genre.

There are some back-ups about Zabu illustrated by Gil Kane.
