Untold Tales of Spider-Man Annual 1996

Spider-Man goes on a date with Invisible Girl.

Torch isn’t thrilled. Nor is Sub-Mariner.

He thinks Spider-Man must have kidnapped Sue for her to decide to date a skinny twerp like Spidey when she could be with a manly man like Namor.

But that doesn’t stop Spidey.

Peter takes her for pizza and is kind of a cad.

The idea of whether it’s better or worse to have a secret identity is an interesting discussion, but Spidey’s not having it. He’s too busy feeling jealous.

It ends with a practical joke messing with Johnny’s car.

Art is early art by the great Mike Allred.

  1. I can’t understand how Spidey can avoid getting cheese all over his gloves. I have all I can do to keep from getting cheese all over myself, let alone my hands! I guess that’s why he’s a superhero…
