A little piece on The ‘Nam, which beat out the movie Platoon (one of my favorite flicks) in an award given by veterans for artistic portrayals of the lives of soldiers. Nice!
I’m not covering ‘The Nam because it’s not clearly canon (and because it’s not really worth summarizing), but it was a truly great war book. One of the best ever.
