You might get Steve Ditko drawing the Fantastic Four, in which case Thing would look…Much more like a thing. Not a fan of Ditko’s take on the iconic characters in this otherwise mostly harmless story.
This also marks the first appearance of Gears Gavin, a blue collar savant who finds Machine Man broken on the road and is able to fix him up.
He will be a minor Marvel character, one who fixes and turbocharges stuff.
It’s also the first appearance of an even more minor character, the villain Ion, who is a cloud of ionized hydrogen that take on humanlike shape.
She’s pretty tragic.
