Sif is back!
And Bil Cobb is gone, off to Asgard-in-Latveria with his lover, the Goddess named Kelda. In his absence, the Warriors Three decide to take over his diner.

I will miss how JMS writes these characters.

Meanwhile, Doom gives Loki some old Doombots and Loki lets him vivisect Asgardians in return…

…The gruesome parallels to Hitler’s programs where he dissected Jewish prisoners are…Disturbing.
Bill Cobb finds out what Loki and Doom are doing, and kill him–prompting vengeance from Kelda.

But Doom captures her during her attack and murders her.

Balder declares war on Doctor Doom and imprisons Loki.

At the same time, Doom has created an army of Asgardian-body-part-augmented Doombots. While Balder’s army fights them Thor returns from exile to attack Doom.

But Doom of course has a trick up his sleeve. Thor’s attack, which included a lightning strike, was all Doom needed to animate his now-modified Destroyer armor.

Thor, of course, eventually wins the battle–but finds that the Destroyer armor is empty. Doom is not inside.

While Thor fights for his life, Loki attempts to avoid the consequences of his treachery by showing Balder that it is not too late to revive Kelda. Yet without her lover Bill she says she does not want to live.
In the wrapping-up pages, Balder and Thor part as friends–but under Asgardian law, Thor is still in exile. Asgard returns to Oklahoma, and we learn that Loki enabled Doom to teleport out of his armor just before Thor defeated him.

But Doom still possesses a sample of Loki’s blood, and is in the process of cloning him.
This is a great wrap to JMS’s run, even if he leaves before it is over and Kieron Gillen is brought in to finish it up.
