Cloak asks the Runaways to help exonerate him from a frame-up. He looks pretty cool on the cover.
Anyway, complicating matters is the fact that The New Avengers believe Cloak is guilty, so the kids’ paths cross the paths of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. What’s the crime? Brutally beating Dagger!
Despite the New Avengers’ appearance, there’s not a lot of action here. It’s mostly dialogue.
Of course Cloak didn’t do it. The New Avengers track him to the Church where the Runaways are staying, and Wolverine cannot withstand Molly’s attack…
An imposter, it turns out, was able to simulate Cloak’s abilities and appearance.
All is straightened out in the end. Solid, fun story.
