This issue introduces a new mutant named Bolt, who joins the team. He’s basically Black Lightning, only he’s white.
The story is pretty standard X-Men stuff: Kid’s abilities manifest in his teens. They’re out of control. The X-team arrives and recruits him.
But after he starts mastering his powers, he learns he has the Legacy Virus, so he quits the X-Men and goes home and then gets a girlfriend.
Not a bad issue. Howard Mackie’s run on this title is pretty good.
