A nice chunk of these issues is spent with The Runaways dealing with Gert’s death. Molly talks with the team’s sentient vehicle about it in fact.
It’s mostly talk like that, at least until the new Pride create a giant monster and the kids have to put it down
During the extended fight, Chase–who left the team after Gertie died–goes to the Gibborim to get them to bring Gertie back. The cost will be a soul, and in the end Chase decides he can’t sacrifice a human being–even to get Gertie back. He returns to the group at the end of this story–but has stolen a few pages of the Abstract, a spellbook that will enable him to re-negotiate the bargain with the dark Gods.
Guest artist Mike Norton does a solid job here, but Adrian Alphona returns next issue and his art is perfect for this series.
