A local cop wants to steal the formula for Spider-Man’s webbing to use it as a law enforcement tool, but of course Spidey doesn’t want that information to be public because someone might invent a counter fluid. So, he hires The Mauler to attack Wonder Man, hoping Spidey will intervene and he can steal a sample of the web.
It’s a kind of interesting idea, but it doesn’t go anywhere.
