PUNISHER #8 (1996)

A vigilante like Punisher goes after the crime family that Punisher is now in charge of, so Punisher tries to protect his new “family.” The family, of course, wants to kill the vigilante–but Punisher sympathizes with his mission.

Ultimately, one of the crime family hitmen takes out the vigilante.

There’s so much here–and I really like it. I still don’t really understand why Punisher is serving as the head of a family. There’s got to be a big pay-off we’re building up to, right?
