This was the final issue of what was an often pretty good but never great series. Overall, I just think it tried to do too much all at once, and therefore wasn’t entirely successful at any of it–but also the amount of imagination and effort meant it didn’t quite fail, either. The best part of the ending is that it leaves no loose ends in a series with at least three major, concurrent plotlines.
Titannus, the skrull refugee from the Super Skrull program, is dead–but his body is now controlled by evil scientist. So, Doctor Strange teleports a band of heroes to take on the zombified skrull.
Most of the issue is just a big fight until they win. And from a series that was full of complicated plotting, big, dumb fists are a welcome end. That story concludes with a wiseacre comment from Spider-Man and the possibility that Crusader will be a future, recurring character in the 616.

There’s also a story in the future about the Legion of Losers that focuses on Speedball. I’m not really sure why it’s there, but it’s fine enough.
