She appeared in plain clothes last issue, but this is the real debut of Jolt. She shows up at the Thunderbolts’ new base of operations (the building formerly known as Four Freedoms Plaza), and says she escaped from a castle owned by Doctor Doom. Citizen V leads the team to the castle–complete with drone cameras to broadcast their heroics to the world–but instead of Doom they find Arnim Zola and his army of monsters.
After defeating them, Jolt joins the group.
I like that Songbird essentially forces Zola to bring a “real” hero to this team of undercover outlaws. We don’t know why she’s doing it yet, but the within-team tension works well.
