So Alpha Flight is a “strike team” now. Also each issue has multiple stories in it, there are a ton of characters, and all of it is awful.
My feelings about this book are summed up by the scene above, where Box’s girlfriend calls him an “addict” for trying repeatedly to save Canada using the box-armor, and he stammers and says sorry. She’s a shrew, he’s a wuss, she misunderstands, he capitulates…
No imagination at all in these issues. Storywise they tread on familiar ground, including bringing in Wolverine.
Also some other guest stars like Dr. Strange and Strong Guy and others because they’re still doing the Infinity Crusade thing. Kind of.
Next issue, thank goodness, the final 3-issue arc of this book begins.
