I would pay thousands of dollars for this if I had thousands to spend. It’s the great John Byrne paying tribute to the legendary Don Martin, who was born on May 18, 1931. I don’t know how many people even know about Mad Magazine anymore but for decades it was THE humor magazine for kids and teens.
Shared cultural monthlies like that are largely a thing of the past now, but man did I look forward to every issue. Don Martin would have little strips or features throughout and they were always bursting with creativity. Sadly, he’s long passed from cancer at the age of 68.
Now I wanna go dig in the attic and see if I have any back issues!
