Peter Parker the Spectacular Spider-Man #68 (1982)

Aunt May and fiancée Nathan Lubenski ask Peter to loan them money to fix up the family home in Queens and turn it into a communal home for senior citizens, so they can move out of the nursing home.  An interesting development in the life of Aunt May.

Then, consistently ignored girlfriend Deb Whitman follows Peter to the roof to try to figure out why he’s so weird (and why he has such extraordinary fitness) and finds a web-pouch, leading her to suspect he’s Spider-Man.  Another interesting development.

Unfortunately, the rest of the issue is about Spider-Man fighting a robot-maker and getting involved in some kind of vaguely defined government conspiracy with an unnamed government agency.  It’s a pretty bland tale.
