MARVEL KNIGHTS: CAPTAIN AMERICA #4-6 (2002): Warlords

Last arc, Captain America disclosed his secret identity to the world. This leads the Secretary of State to dismiss Cap–saying that now that people know who he really is, he is no longer useful as an agent. But Nick Fury sends him on a mission anyway because, you know, he’s Nick F-in Fury.

So Captain America fights terrorists who attack a Fourth of July celebration with advanced weaponry. Tracking the source of the arms takes him to Dresden.

The art in this book continues to be excellent. The stories are just okay. Nothing wrong with them, but nothing memorable either, and there’s a little too many speeches and heavy handed caption boxes about how great Cap and how precious Freedom are.
