An entire planet has been programmed to kill Silver Surfer because he is Galactus’ herald. He’s not the herald any more, of course, but this is kind of a distinction without a difference since over the last several story arcs he’s been running around defending the big G and even saving the planet-eater’s life.
It’s a fun “death trap” issue. I like those.
