Solo stories about Hawkeye and Human Torch. The Hawkeye story is weird. He fails to save a suicide jumper, who was a failed boxer, on a ship and in memoriam shoots a boxing glove arrow into the ocean. Grade: D.
The Human Torch story is not much better. I really think it’s time for Steve Ditko, who plotted and drew it, to retire. Erik Larsen provided the script, in which Torch meets a woman called Moth who is drawn to his flame but unlike an actual moth, she snuffs Torch’s flame rather than getting burned by it. Grade: F.
