Last issue had a teaser/cliffhanger: Emma Frost and her Hellions had broken into the New Warriors’ base and knocked out Tai Chord in an attempt to take Firestar as one of their own.
This issue, they get home and fight Emma’s mutants.
Namorita makes a joke about new Hellion Beef’s name.
During the fight, Tai shows she has the ability to resist Emma Frost’s mental powers. She also proves to have motives that are more than a bit mixed…
In the end, the teams stalemate, and Emma gives up her claim on Firestar, leaving kind of a détente between the teams.
