Having the team on an extended road trip means we can easily have fill-in writers or artists. In this issue, they go to Reno and protect some mutant kids whose parents were subjected to nuclear testing.
I like the Norman Rockwell-esque cover. The story isn’t bad. It feels like a done-in-one, but we will later learn tha tthe testing was done by a group of Eternals called Damocles Foundation, who were trying to create a new race of super-powered humans and seed them in major human organizations like SHIELD.
