THOR #318-319 (1982)

Loki makes the Easter Island heads come alive and Thor fights them.  Then, in #318, he decides to move from Chicago to New York.  These issues are terrible, so I’m assuming he’s pulling a “geographic” to cure how bad his comic is, but but I’m also convinced it won’t work.  Moench is absolutely wrong for this book, and Keith Pollard is a solid artist, but he’s not really clicking here.

These issues aren’t a two-parter, but really, don’t bother reading them. Issue #319 is the first appearance of a very minor (and dumb) villain named Zaniac.

Art is by Gil Kane (#318) and Keith Pollard (#319)
