X-FACTOR #19 (1987)

At last, the very slow build of the Apocalypse storyline, which started before Louise Simonson signed on as writer, begins to accelerate.  We get our first look at the three horsemen of Apocalypse in action.  Iceman is right of course—the fourth horseman will appear later, and will be Angel.

In the fight against the Horsemen, Beast is hurt when Plague simply touches him.

Also, last issue, we learned that X-Factor publicist Cameron Hodge was using the team as a way to foment anti-mutant sentiment by promoting a team whose job was to hunt down mutants in your community.  He was also forcing Scott Summers to have hallucinations, trying to drive him slowly mad.

So obviously, he’s been fired.
