Ghost Rider #13 (1975)

This issue is weird for many reasons, none of which are that it’s about a flaming skelton who rides a motorcycle.

Karen Page, from Daredevil, moves over to this comic and starts up a little something with Johnny Blaze. And she even gets mentioned on the cover.

I haven’t been tagging nonpowered characters, but even if I had, Karen Page is no Mary Jane, Gwen Stacy, or even Willie Lumpkin. She’s from one of Marvel’s lesser known books, and was only important there for a short time.

Anyway, she’s an actress. Johnny’s a stunt man. Trapster snatches her up off the set. Ghost Rider saves her.

During the fight, Trapster indicates that Ghost Rider’s voice reveals his supernatural nature.

Also in this book, Blaze gets the power to be Johnny at night, when previously he would transform every sundown.  They explain it as him being redeemed, since he’s helped people.
