At the time, that was basically unheard of: A superhero comic where the real story isn’t about heroics. Instead, it’s about Peter getting physical with Flash because he thinks Flash is messing around with Gwen.

Turns out, it was a misunderstanding and Gwen is still into Pete. So…


I love how John Romita and Stan Lee can create a sequence that is so completely relatable, even if none of us have spider-powers. One minute you’re down, the next you’re soaring through the sky. That’s what young love is all about, isn’t it?
