GHOST RIDER ANNUAL #1 (1993)

The main story in this annual is the first appearance of Night Terror–a new (sort of ) vampire–and the second story focuses on him. I’m not sure if he was intended to be a bigger deal, but it sure looks like it.

He has no memory of how he became a bloodsucker, and he evolves as a character across the story. He also bites Ghost Rider.

It’s good.

Story #2 is not as good–it’s Night Terror searching for answers to his own origin. No questions are answered, which again leads me to believe that Howard Mackie had plans for the character that never got realized.

Story #3, after some in-ups that appear to be unused covers for prior GR appearances, introduces a new villain who turns people to stone. He’s never seen again.
