MARVEL COMICS PRESENTS #175 (1994): Series Ends

It’s over. At last. This book has been a cesspool with (very rare) bright spots among stories that are largely trash. It’s kind of been inexplicable. I mean, Marvel Fanfare was an anthology that frequently used old “inventory” stories to fill pages–so it made sense that the stuff in the series was not A-Game. If it were great, it wouldn’t have been inventory. But MCP has exclusively published in-continuity, new material. And the vast majority of it has bordered on unreadable.

This final issue concludes two multi-issue stories that are covered individually, and offers two single-issue, 8-pagers–both written and drawn by Steve Lightle. One if about Steel Raven, and the other is about New Genix. All of these characters debuted in MCP #150–and none will never be seen again.

Rest in peace, MCP.
