Let me be clear: This series drawn beautifully and the writing is fine. It also covers a period we’ve never seen much of: Namor’s days as a boy, navigating sea- and surface-world relationships. It’s like “Tales of Asgard” for Sub-Mariner.
So, not a bad series at all.
I just don’t care about it.
Namor, on his own, has just never been all that interesting to me. He’s good as part of an ensemble or when he is in opposition to other characters, but alone he’s kinda one-note. So I skimmed this series very quickly.
