IRON MAN: THE IRON AGE #1-2 (1998)

Kurt Busiek carved out a nice little niche for himself in the mid-90s, where he could write “old” stories for all of Marvel’s best characters.

These two comics are his foray into Iron Man. Issue #1 retells his origin through the eyes of Pepper Potts.

Story #2 is a cold war story told by Happy Hogan where Iron Man fights the “Dogs of War.”

We also get to see the construction of the helicarrier.

This is definitely not as strong as Busiek’s “old Spider-Man” stuff, but it’s solid work.
