PETER PARKER THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN #39-40 (1980)

First, Spider-Man takes on “The Schizoid Man” and beats the snot out of him.  Totally forgettable, but it’s a story line that has been developing for several issues.

But why is Spidey acting so bloodthirsty…?

Connors eventually cures him. Throughout, we see Electro working in the shadows, and the last panel of issue #40 shows the new, reassembled Frightful Four.
