Daddy Power’s boss saw the kids use their powers, so now he’s afraid they’re mutants. He gets Henry Peter Gyrich to flash them with a mutant detector, and it’s negative. But the boss, namded Carmody, still wants to kill them because he’s just a bad guy.
It’s not a great story, but the character moments are good, like the one above. Several scenes of the kids playing with their powers and almost-but-not-quite getting caught by their parents. At the end of the issue, Daddy Power gets a job in New York City, so the team will be moving there, and we’re promised that next issue they’ll meet Spider-Man.
