As noted in issue #1’s letters page…

…This is the 100th comic to have She-Hulk in the title. As a result, we get over a dozen artists to help celebrate. And a story where She-Hulk goes on trial for her life means lots of character witnesses and guest stars.

The Time Variance Authority is prosecuting her for trying to prevent Hawkeye’s death by altering the time stream. Despite that, she still tries to warn him.

The proposed punishment, ironically, is the alter the time stream by erasing She-Hulk from history. Her lawyer is the side character Southpaw, pulled from the future where she becomes a great lawyer.

Dan Slott is an excellent writer. Having him script a parade of character witnesses is wonderful. They go through the history of She-Hulk.

There’s action and light bondage along the way, courtesy of various witnesses telling their favorite memories of She-Hulk. Figures that Wyatt would remember her all bound tight…
There’s even a cameo by John Byrne, wearing a Superman sweater…

Still, she loses her case and is about to be erased from history using the “Retro-Active Cannon” when the criminal Clockwise, who was hiding in the courtroom, attempts to steal the weapon and Shulk stops him.
This makes her critically important to the timeline—because she saved the TVA itself. So instead of being erased, she is imprisoned. The twist is that TVA’s jail is full, and She-Hulk is allowed to set one prisoner free to make space for herself.

She chooses a “former Avenger” who is also imprisoned there. We don’t know who that is yet.
