Doctor Strange #30 (1978)

Roger Stern is quickly establishing that his version of Dr. Strange will be focused-almost like a Ghostbuster-on going after occult manifestations that are causing problems on Earth.  This vision of the character as a protector of our plane is consistent with modern versions-especially the movie.

What’s also nice is that Clea’s role is elevated from eye candy to true partner, and lover.

It’s nice when a book reflects actual feminism, rather than just telling a male story with a female lead.  In this one, they fight the creepy Dweller in the Darkness.

And Tom Sutton does a really good job with the art. Look at this eyeball-faucet-drip:
