Artist Johnny T Craig arrives again to illustrate an Iron Man story that borrows heavily from the kind of EC horror comics he was best known for. Sometimes, genre blending works. This time, it doesn’t.
Iron Man fights a Minotaur to save Madame Masque, who was tricked into thinking a mad scientist could make her beautiful again. And, of course, it ends with the irony (get it? IRONy?) of Masque accepting her need for a mask, and walking off on a beach.
And it’s as bad as it sounds.
