Iron Man is hunting MODOK down, and the trail leads to California. So, he enlists the Champions to help him.
They find him and Iron Man kills him (above). This is after his last appearance, in Iron Man’s War Against Supervillains.
This issue is also the first time Iron Man has seen Ghost Rider. It’s odd that he knows about The champions but doesn’t know that one of their members is a flaming skeleton, but that’s where we are. So he shoots him.
Their fight is not epic.
Many years later, Ghost Rider will take on not just Iron Man but the entire Avengers team.
