This is a one-off where Spider-Man tries to help some monks recover a lost mutant, who dies at the end of the story.
It must be hard to be writing a book parallel to the JMS/JR Jr run on Amazing Spider-Man. I don’t say that just because their run is very high quality, but also because it is so dense with mythology and storyline that editorial probably didn’t let this crew do very much to interfere.
