It’s a sad Christmas issue.
Johnny throws away the present he had bought for Alicia before he learned she was a skrull impersonator. It’s uncommon for a “new team coming aboard” retcon like this to actually be dealt with over more than one issue. Usually, those kinds of solutions are done quickly and cleanly so the new creators can tell the stories they want to tell.
Best of all, for Christmas Reed has invented a machine to make a cast for Ben Grimm.
There’s also some Doctor Doom stuff, but this really isn’t much of an issue. There’s no story–just a bunch of scenes strapped together.
