Rob Liefeld did the cover for issue #33, which was considered a big deal at Marvel.
There’s a mad bomber blowing stuff up on Cable’s island, Providence. The terrorist is trying to prevent his peacekeeping work in the country of Rumekistan.
At the same time, Six Pack, Cable’s old merc team, are hired by a U.S./European alliance to serve as a disruptive force in Rumekistan.
When Cable confronts them, he finds there are only five members of the pack: Anaconda, Domino, Hammer, George Washington Bridge, and Solo.
The sixth Pack member is, of course, Deadpool, who is standing right behind you!

Deadpool gets the drop on Cable and shoots him in the head.

His injury is not fatal and while he is healing he uses his telekinetic abilities to repair the wreckage caused by Six Pack in Rumekistan. Because he’s that powerful now.
Then he goes after Six Pack and exiles Deadpool from Providence.
After that, Deadpool spends issue #35 being haunted by images of the people who have died as a result of his own irresponsibility. He thinks Cable telepathically implanted the images, but Cable–showing remarkable compassion to a guy who shot him in the head–tells Deadpool that it’s just his own conscience.

The memories were triggered by Cable severing his bromantic relationship to Deadpool. Such a sad parting!

Also, on the letters page, there’s a No-Prize award.

Haven’t seen one of those in a bit!
