Thor is “dead” and his series is “cancelled,” but Journey Into Mystery returns–picking up Thor Volume One’s numbering the same way Thor took over JiM’s numbering.
And it’s a Shang Chi story.
The writing credit is to “Ben Raab and Creative Differences Studios.” That about sums up everything going on at Marvel at this time.
Shang Chi beats up Hong Kong mobsters, protects abused women, etc. It’s fairly standard.
It’s also the first appearance of Cursed Lotus. There are hints that she is Fu Manchu’s daughter (and therefore Shang’s sister).
But later we will learn that she’s not.
