In which we learn “Whatever Happened to Crusher Hogan” (the wrestler from Amazing Fantasy #15). He has an experience similar to Peter Parker’s, when he failed to act to stop the criminal who eventually killed someone he loved.
The guy in the purple is Manslaughter Marsdale, a bloodthirsty wrestling promoter. I’m not into the ’80s wrestling fad, but it seems a shame that this storyline wasn’t used when Thing got involved in wrestling in his solo book, around the same time.
But the more interesting story is about Aunt May’s boyfriend owing loanshark money.
He gets beat up.
