Marvel Team-Up #145 (1984)

Blacklash at an Electronics Convention in Cleveland, trying to get a job and go straight, but the lure of easy money has a very, very strong appeal.  It takes both Spider-Man and Iron Man to take him down.  Overkill.

He’s beaten by being stripped in public. Blacklash has never been this emotionally fragile before, so it’s out of character for him to break down like that. At the same time, it’s remarkably prescient of some of the defund the police arguments–it takes a hero to take down an armed villain, but they need crisis counselors trained at mental health intervention on the scene as well.
