After a complex, intertwined story that lasted over a year, we get a palette cleanser. Thor strikes his hammer on the ground to change into his Don Blake body, and the energy from the strike awakens an old enemy of Odin, long buried, who then uses Stonehenge as the mystical center to return him to his home planet.
This alien is referred to as Demon Druid here. He later appears in the eXcalibur series, an X-Men spin off, and is named Ultimus.
