TALES TO ASTONISH #40-41 (1963)

Two more simple, short Ant-Man stories.  The first one is against Z-level villain Hi-Jacker, who will return a bunch more times in the future.  He’s just a dude who steals stuff.

Issue #41 is notable only because it’s the first Marvel Universe book not drawn by Jack Kirby.  I’m sure Heck has his fans, and he certainly did a lot of work in the early (and arguably best) Marvel period, but he just doesn’t do it for me.

Ant-Man fights Kulla, an interdimensional invader.

Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, and artists Jack Kirby (#40) and Don Heck (#41).
