Peter Parker the Spectacular Spider-Man #123 (1987)

Black Cat tricks Spider-Man into believing she’s being targeted by a villain, which enables her to get into Peter Parker’s apartment, and then Mary Jane shows up.  Even though Peter and MJ aren’t “dating,” they are exploring that possibility, so it’s…Awkward.

It’s also very well written.

The romance between Cat and Spider begins to be rekindled, all according to Foreigner’s plan (Foreigner and Cat are actually in romantic cahoots against Spidey).

Good intrigue!  Despite a constant rotating artist roster, Peter David is doing excellent work here.
