Behind the reprint of X-Men #100 is a story about how Jean Grey became occupied by the Phoenix Force. The whole story is just a dialogue between Jean and the Force. I’m not a huge fan of the retcon of Jean being possessed rather than simply a mutant of awesome power, so this one is the first Classic X-Men backup that didn’t really work for me.
