I’m pretty sure this was just a done-in-one inventory story idea from Marv Wolfman’s underwhelming run on Fantastic Four. Thing and Human Torch try to stop chaos and damage created when a man gets the mystical power to be everything he wants to be before he gets married.
It’s weird, silly and fun—but would be more fun if it were Thing and someone we don’t usually see him paired up with.
Also: Terry Austin and Howard Chaykin make an appearance, in name only.
