Three stories. First, Dr. Octopus’ backstory in an attempt to make him more sympathetic. He was abused as a kid. Completely unnecessary.
Tom DeFalco and Ron Lim. Grade: D. Note that Zeb Wells and Kaare Andrews did a really good Doc Ock backstory series, Dr. Octopus Year One, and didn’t need to go for cliches to make him relatable.
Then Kurt Busiek and Alan Lopresti bring back Corona Virus.
Not Busiek’s best work. Grade: C-.
And finally, Jack Harris and Jesse Orozco show us Annex. Nobody cares about Annex. Grade: D.
