Bill Foster, Alicia and Thing go to the circus so, of course, Ringmaster is there with his latest iteration of the Circus of Crime.
Iceman happens to also be there on a date.
We also get some of Ringmaster’s origin. His father was also a circus owner, who fought Captain America way back during World War II as the first Ringmaster. This brings his dad into the Marvel Universe for the first time.
Giant-Man is featured on the cover, but only Iceman gets title billing. Thing brought Foster along as a third wheel on his circus date to help him forget about his cancer.
Circus member Strong Man doesn’t appear in this issue. Instead we get the first appearance of Fire-Eater, who will only last for a few appearances and then he will disappear without explanation for over a decade.
All in all, a good comic.
