I did so love Michael Golden’s covers.
Ghost Rider versus Hellcat, Son of Satan, Valkyrie, Dr. Strange, and Gargoyle. It really doesn’t get more awesomer than that. I miss 1980s Marvel.
JM DeMatteis does a great job at channeling Gerberish weirdness but keeping it mainstream enough to be consistent with the rest of Marvel’s increasingly corporate line.
Technically, this is still part of the long six-fingered hand epic–they even have a rock and roll band!–but it also stands on its own as a great issue.
