THUNDERSTRIKE #4-7 (1994)

Somebody please explain to me how Spider-Man is “from the pages of Venom”??  It’s the mid-90s now.  Stories are getting worse.  Art is getting stupid.  And editors are getting sloppy.  Although the cover to issue #5…

…has other things to say about the era.  What the hell is Thunderstrike wearing there?

Thunderstrike proves himself to Captain America and Spider-Man, and then fights a female demon named Pandara.

Truly, that is all you need to know about these issues. When I am willing to overcome my aversion to the legacy nature of Thunderstrike and just read this as a comic about a dude who is strong and uses a hammer, it’s about a “C.” But knowing how much it takes from Thor, a comic that can be amazing when it’s in the right hands, makes it hard to grade above a C-.
